It's been quite some time since I woke up, hit the pavement & got done fresh air. Drug myself out of bed this Saturday morning to take a four mile walk. 60°F beautiful-ness.
I use this derme hydrating mist with hyaluronic acid on my face just to freshen up & moisturize my skin. Got it in my September Birchbox & it's one of my favs.
After my walk, I'm ready to eat. I realized I ran out of almond milk so instead of having the preffered bowl of granola, I'm having a Kale salad w/ vidalia onion dressing.
*I'm immensely sore ( & starved) now & that salad wasn't enough, so I ate my granola dry :(*
Aka-hot purple! Another day, another lippie. Today's choice lip color is Covergirl Lip Perfection in the color Embrace. It's a fav oldie of mine, perhaps three years old, & right on time for fall.
Psssttt...quiet as it's kept, I will rock this color in any season.
I threw in a few pics of my fits as well. Business casual kinda day. Decided to give the balls of my feet a rest today.
*do you like my ofc photo shoot tho*
As a warmer/darker toned luvie, I always love playing with color in my wardrobe. On gloomy days like today, it can make you feel a lil fancy. As you can sorta see, I've gone all over the place with this idea but it still works.
So I have on your basic pair of straight-leg black dress slacks ( New York & Co.), & a pair of creme-colored, patent leather pumps( that I got on clearance a few weeks ago for $20 from The Limited). I paired it with a pinkish & blueish sheer, long-sleeved blouse from Asos. It's been a while since I got it but it wasn't more than $20 either. The salmon colored blazer I have on is about two years old from Forever 21 & same deal here. It was probably only around $20. Cute and affordable.
Lastly, I usually never make the time to make a big fuss over my makeup in the mornings before work so I typically do a cat eye with liquid or gel liner (for a clean & neat look), mascara & a bold or bright lip. I do use a liquid foundation, and blush daily also. Slap on a few accessories & done.
Don't be afraid to experiment a little with different styles & especially with color. It makes you look great & feel better too!
Used Dark n Lovely's texture tones color in cherrywood to sass up my look for the fall & well, it's sorta kinda hard to tell. Outside in natural light, I would imagine it looks really pretty. I actually used an application brush to apply the color very sparingly then went in with 20 developer to ombre the ends, & to also add natural looking highlights throughout the hair. Too bad it's rainy today,I won't be able to see my progress.
Thinking I'll go back in with 40 developer for more visible results.

So I've been wanting to do something. Blog &/or vlog. Paint & create. Be more active. Just tap back into my creative side. Find my fun AGAIN. These things remind me to appreciate time & people & the beauty in life itself. I started journaling again too. Not nearly as often as I did in grade school but enough for now, I suppose. I've been wanting change. Fulfilling, rewarding change. Guess I'm ready. Nothing happens if you don't go for it. So I'm taking a chance & stepping out on faith and with a lil confidence. Let's go......
Hiiieeee!!! Welcome to my blog. I'll be posting the daily comings and goings in and around my life. I'm excited to get started!!!
